The Week in Review
Happy Friday!
I hope you had a wonderful week. I am grateful to serve you all in the 118th Congress. Read below to see what I’ve been working on this week.
Tax Pre-Filing Season Awareness Event Next Friday (February 2nd)
The Taxpayer Advocate Service and I are leading a tax pre-filing season awareness event in Queen Creek next Friday, February 2nd. The event will feature information booths and representatives from the Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS), Low-Income Taxpayer Clinics (LITC), Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), and the Stakeholder Partnerships Education Communication (SPEC). Representatives from my office will also be on hand for casework assistance.
Stop by to receive on-site tax assistance.
Tele-Town Hall This Tuesday (January 30th)
I am hosting my virtual tele-town hall this Tuesday, January 30, at 7:30 pm EST/5:30 pm MST. I will provide district updates and discuss what I’ve been working on in Washington. Please join the town hall and ask me questions!
Touring the Goldfield Recreation Area
This morning, I joined Pinal County and local Bureau of Land Management officials to tour a parcel of land near Apache Junction soon to be designated as the Goldfield Recreation Area. The new recreation area will preserve the land for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, and include some new infrastructure to support those activities. I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about the project and will continue to monitor its development.
Welcoming Saras Micro Devices to Chandler
I welcomed Saras Micro Devices to Chandler in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This semiconductor manufacturing company opened a new state-of-the-art headquarters here to complement its facility in Atlanta, Georgia.
This $50 million, 33,000-square-foot facility will create new jobs, investments, and opportunities for Arizonans.
I am grateful for their decision to expand in Arizona!
TOMORROW: International Holocaust Remembrance Day
Please join me in commemorating the victims of the Holocaust. I will continue to stand against antisemitism in Congress. America stands with Israel.

Letters Cosigned:
- Letter congratulating Taiwan’s President and Vice President on their recent election (Rep. Gooden)
- Letter to Secretary Blinken denouncing South Africa’s unfounded genocide claims against Israel (Reps. Smith and Manning)

Alien Invasion Border Documentary
Check out my border documentary titled Alien Invasion. The 30-minute documentary features footage from private ranches along the border, the Darien Gap in Panama, and interviews with members of Congress, Border Patrol, local and state law enforcement, and much more. It addresses how President Biden’s border crisis began, its consequences, and solutions to address the crisis.
The border documentary may be watched here.

Tweet of the Week
What's the Biggs Idea? Podcast w/ Center for Immigration Studies' Todd Bensman
National Security Fellow for the Center for Immigration Studies Todd Bensman joined me on the What’s the Biggs Idea? podcast. Todd previously led counterterrorism intelligence for the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Intelligence and Counterterrorism Division. He has also worked as a reporter for nearly two decades. We discussed his latest op-ed in the New York Post that explains how the United Nations is funding the invasion at our southern border as well as the razor wire border dispute between the state of Texas and the Biden Administration.
