Will you urge Congress to follow suit + finally address gun violence?

Friend,
Yesterday, Jill Biden announced the Biden Administration’s newest executive actions to address gun violence, this time aimed at promoting safe firearm storage to help protect children. The move comes at a critical time: Gun violence is the number one cause of death for children and teens in the United States.
These executive actions will save lives, friend, but we need to do more if we are going to finally end our nation’s gun violence epidemic once and for all, we need Congress to follow the president’s lead. Will you add your name to our urgent petition and call on Congress to pass common sense gun violence prevention legislation NOW? >> [[link removed]]

In a country with more guns than people, changing the narrative to uphold responsible gun ownership is crucial, friend. This historic announcement from the White House addresses one of the root causes of our country’s gun violence epidemic: unsecured firearms. In America, 65% of gun owners have at least one unlocked firearm, which can lead to devastating outcomes, especially for children.
These executive actions are the direct result of Brady’s tireless advocacy, friend. I am particularly grateful for the Brady grassroots leaders in California and across the country whose activism to promote safe storage education in their local communities and school districts helped inspire this action. These sensible solutions to engage, empower, and educate our communities about the importance of storing guns safely will save countless lives.
The Biden Administration continues to prove their unwavering commitment to gun violence prevention, to creating a safer America. These executive actions are deeply impactful but it won’t be enough to solve our country’s gun violence epidemic – it’s time for Congress to follow his lead. Will you send an urgent message to lawmakers urging them to pass common-sense gun safety laws NOW? >> [[link removed]]
