"DeGette moves to force U.S. House vote on high-capacity magazine ban"
There’s no reason why any civilian in this country needs a gun magazine that holds more than 10 rounds, Johh.
Banning the sale of these high-capacity magazines is one of the best things we can do to protect our communities.
That's why Diana introduced the Keep Americans Safe Act in 2021. Now, she's fighting in the House to force a vote on this critical bill.

In 1994, the federal government took action and banned the sale of high-capacity magazines. This ban expired in 2004, and in 2019, a study concluded that over a three-decade period, attacks involving high-capacity magazines had a 62% higher death rate.
While we still have a long way to go until we fully solve the gun violence epidemic, this is an effective way to get results and begin to solve the issue. People's lives depend on passing common-sense gun safety regulations. That's why Diana is committed to taking on the NRA and championing a world where we can feel safe from gun violence in our everyday lives.
Diana needs your support in the fight to pass legislation that will ban high-capacity gun magazines. Sign the petition to let her know you support her efforts to ban high-capacity magazines.
Onward,
Team DeGette
