Dear Friend,

I want to thank everyone who came out to the six listening sessions I hosted this week in Oneida, Wood, Marathon, Barron, Polk, and St. Croix County.

One of my goals in Congress is to be as accessible to you as possible, which is why listening sessions are a great way for me to answer any questions you may have.

This round of listening was focused on the impeachment inquiry into President Biden, but we were also able to discuss many important topics like the ongoing crisis at our southern border, the impact that solar farms are having on land in Wisconsin, the importance of requiring voter ID, and what I am doing in Washington to help our nation’s veterans.

As Telegram readers know, after countless testimonies, whistleblowers, and investigations, it became clear that President Biden knew about his family’s foreign business dealings. That’s why House Republicans voted to formalize the impeachment inquiry into President Biden last month, so we can get answers and bring more transparency on his level of involvement in these deals.

While the mountain of evidence continues to grow, I wanted to share with you everything we have uncovered so far. For an in-depth timeline of the Biden Family’s influence peddling, click here.

If there is one thing we can all agree on, it’s that the American people deserve the truth, and I assure you House Republicans are committed to providing that with this inquiry.

Another important topic that we discussed was putting an end to President Biden’s border invasion.

Back in May, House Republicans passed H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act, and every single day that the Senate waits to pass it, small towns all across America, including right here in Wisconsin, feel the effects. It’s past time for the Senate to pass this legislation and put an end to this invasion.

If you missed this round of listening sessions, do not worry. I will have more later this year, and you can follow my Facebook page here to stay up to date on when and where the next ones will be.

Thanks again for starting off your weekend with us! We hope you enjoy this week’s edition of the Tiffany Telegram.

Sincerely,

Defunding Davos

Too often in Washington, the interests of Americans take a back seat to the desires of shady, unaccountable international organizations. One example we’ve talked about in the past is the so-called “pandemic accord” being promoted by the United Nations-linked World Health Organization (WHO), which could bind the U.S. to restrictive rules cooked up by the unelected and unaccountable WHO. That’s why I introduced legislation that would prevent the Biden administration from unilaterally signing on to this pact. However, the WHO is now pressing its case with another non-transparent global group: The World Economic Forum. The WHO’s scandal-plagued leader, known for his close links to China, attended the latest WEF confab to double down on this sovereignty violating scheme. He warned attendees about something he called “Disease X,” and argued that “narrow national interests should not come into the way” of global pandemic rules. This WEF-WHO partnership shouldn’t be ignored. People affiliated with the WEF have long raised eyebrows, promoting a so-called “Great Reset,” and harebrained ideas about “insect protein” and even the “dangers” posed by coffee. That’s why I joined my friend Rep. Scott Perry (PA-10) in proposing a bill to make sure they don’t receive a cent from U.S. taxpayers. You can read more about our bill here.

Who decides our elections?

It should be the American people; however, over the last few months, we have seen partisan efforts in states like Colorado and Maine to block former President Donald Trump from the ballot. Not only is this wrong, but it is disgraceful that these states are taking away the people’s voice in our elections. We the People choose our leaders, not radical leftists subverting the will of the American people. As the U.S. Supreme Court is currently debating Colorado's attempt to remove President Trump, I joined over 170 lawmakers in filing an Amicus Brief supporting President Trump’s right to be on the ballot. You can read more about the Amicus Brief here.

Pumping the brakes on Biden’s EV mandates

During my listening session in Wood County, several constituents raised concerns over the Biden administration’s efforts to push Electric Vehicles (EVs) on Americans. From the high cost of maintenance to the risks associated with electricity surges from charging stations, it’s easy to understand why so many people are frustrated by President Biden’s EV rules. That’s why this week, I signed on to a letter with 119 of my colleagues opposing the administration’s newest EV mandate proposing Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards for cars and trucks. These standards would essentially mandate EVs by phasing out gas-powered vehicles by requiring automakers to increase their average fleet-wide fuel economy to 58 miles per gallon by 2032, which is more than double the current standard, and if they fail to do so they will face severe penalties. These standards rip away consumer choice and would force manufacturers to produce vehicles that the market does not want. And we all saw just how well having an EV serves those in cold temperatures in the last few weeks, with charging stations across the country unable to charge electric cars. The federal government should not be in the business of dictating what types of vehicles Americans use to go about their lives. I am committed to pushing back against impractical, one-size-fits-all mandates like this one.

Recent Legislation

Time to kill the Death Tax

For far too long, multigenerational family farms and small businesses have been forced to bear a hefty tax, commonly known as the death tax, after experiencing the death of a loved one. The death tax is imposed on the person who inherits a property after the previous owner passes away. Unfortunately, as I'm sure some readers have experienced, many of these small farms and businesses cannot afford to take on this tax burden, and as a result, they are forced to sell. Death and taxes may be the only certainties in life, but that doesn’t mean they should be combined. That’s why I helped introduce the bipartisan Death Tax Repeal Act of 2024. This important legislation would permanently repeal the death tax, putting an end to the IRS’s surprise and often devastating double tax on hardworking Wisconsinites. I will always fight to protect your family traditions for generations to come.
