When we first immigrated to North Carolina, we knew raising three Muslim girls in a new country would come with difficulties.

But despite the hardships and obstacles faced by so many new immigrants like us, we raised our daughters to cherish and value all people, even when the world isn’t as kind.

That’s why we’re so proud of our daughter. Not only did Nida become the first Muslim woman elected to office in North Carolina, but she ran an exceptional campaign, powered by grassroots supporters who believed in her like we do.

Now she’s seeking re-election for County Commissioner, to continue being the voice our community deserves. We’re endlessly proud – but we also know pride alone doesn’t fund a campaign, so we need to ask for your help.
