John — Last week, I voted in committee to restore the expanded Child Tax Credit!

President Joe Biden's American Rescue Plan created the Child Tax Credit expansion, successfully lifting millions of kids out of poverty! But MAGA Republicans allowed it to expire, and the child poverty rate more than doubled the following year.

This is proof that policy matters. If passed, the Child Tax Credit will once again lift millions of children out of poverty and put money back into the pockets of working families across America. Sign the petition and become a citizen co-sponsor of expanding the Child Tax Credit today >>>

I'd like to see this legislation expand the tax credit even further. But with the current Republican leadership, this is our best bet to tackle poverty right now.

MAGA Republicans allowed millions of children to fall back into poverty. Is that what they call leadership? Their agenda is simple: cut critical social programs, give tax breaks to the ultrawealthy, and tank the economy.

We have to push hard when we have rare opportunities like these to pass critical legislation!
