This is a picture of my neighbor Cliff. During last week’s snowstorm, he turned up to clear my driveway so that I could get back to campaigning. In his words, it was “Just a small part of helping to save democracy.”
I think Cliff is onto something. There is a misconception that to make a difference, you have to knock on hundreds of doors or donate thousands of dollars.
While those things are always appreciated, change happens through the little things too: a $5 donation, talking to your loved ones about the candidates you believe in, phonebanking. I truly believe that our democracy will be saved by all of us pitching in together, one step at a time.
That’s why I’m asking you today to just pitch in $5 or $10 ahead of my end-of-month fundraising deadline, John. In order to stay on top of my finance plan to defeat Scott Perry, I need to raise $10,000 before Wednesday at midnight.
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process now. |
Let me explain why it’s so critical that we come together to defeat Scott Perry. Not only is he an insurrectionist and MAGA extremist, but he is also backed by Republican interest groups and dark money.
While I am relying on grassroots donors like you, John, the NRCC and every dark money PAC you can think of are funneling thousands of dollars into Scott Perry’s greedy pockets. Without grassroots supporters, I don’t stand a chance.
So I will ask you one more time: John, can you spare $10 to help me defeat Scott Perry?
If we are going to win this thing, it is going to take all of us doing our “small part to save democracy.” I’m in. Are you?
