Oklahoma,

We are wrapping up a busy week in Washington. While border negotiations continue, we've stayed busy with committee work and visits with Oklahomans who have made the trip to D.C. I hope that all those affected by the freezing temperatures this past week were able to exercise caution and stay safe. Thank you to our first responders who worked overtime to keep us safe and informed. If this email was forwarded to you, you can subscribe to my weekly enewsletter here.

It was a joy to visit with the National Association of Evangelicals' Christian Student Leadership Conference this week and host a Q&A about faith, family, and our call to service. I shared our family's experience with adopting three of our six wonderful kids, and spoke about the importance of supporting babies and mothers at every stage of care.

Oklahoma Head Start is committed to setting children and families up for success. With 394 Head Start Centers statewide, Head Start programs promote the school readiness of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children from families with low income. I had the opportunity to sit down with members of Oklahoma's Head Start community in Washington this week and discuss the impact of early childhood development and education and the challenges they face.

The Senate Page Program offers high school students a firsthand experience into the inner workings of the U.S. Senate’s operations in Washington. I was thrilled to meet Ella Stillick, a Senate Page from Edmond, Oklahoma this week. Through this program, Ella has had the opportunity to handle messages for Members, prepare the Senate Chambers, and transport bills and amendments to the Senate floor among other responsibilities.

Congratulations to Oklahoma's own Canoo, an automotive company with a factory in Oklahoma City, for securing a contract with America's largest fleet – the U.S. Postal Service. Our business-friendly state is a booming hub for innovation and technology, and I look forward to seeing more Oklahoma-made vehicles coming to a neighborhood near you.

I joined Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business this week to discuss the Biden administration's negligence at our southern border, as well as Iranian-backed attacks on U.S. personnel in the Middle East. Check it out here

This week, I penned a Mullin It Over column on how the Biden administration's open border policies have fueled the fentanyl epidemic across our nation. Click here to read.
