Good morning California Young Democrats,

Last weekend I joined over 75 Young Democrats from six of our regions to walk, knock and talk to 2,500 Sacramento households for our CYD-endorsed candidate Paula Villescaz for Assembly. The true power of Young Democrats is the collective power of our feet and voices working in unison. Together, we have the power to change hearts and minds of voters in our communities, and elect solution-oriented Democrats that put people first!

Please, sign-up and join us any weekend between now and the March 5 Primary election to get-out-the-vote! We have already helped tip the scales in favor of four amazing women of color candidates running, DeJonaé Shaw for Assembly (Inland Empire), Dr. Phlunté Riddle for Assembly (Los Angeles), Sasha Renée Pérez for Senate (Los Angeles), and Paula Villescaz for Assembly (Sacramento) with our targeted campaign actions.

Finally, the California Democratic Party is offering grant funds of up to $5,000 for CYD chapters through their Eric Bradley Deep Blue Grant to support projects that specifically engage California Democrats aged 16-35. Applications are due by Wednesday, January 31, 2024, so please put in an application for your chapter’s youth engagement program to get access to these vital resources in 2024!
