John —
Ron DeSantis JUST dropped out of the GOP presidential primary to endorse Donald Trump. Here’s what that means for our race.
For the past year, DeSantis left our state in the dust of his presidential ambitions. He traveled the country bragging about his radical, dangerous policies like a 6-week abortion ban and book bans. He wanted to use the damage he’s done to Florida as a national blueprint.
But last week, DeSantis lost in Iowa by 30 points. He didn’t even win one county. He was humiliated at the polls, and now he’s coming crawling back to Florida. He’s turning his sights back on keeping Florida a gerrymandered, voter suppressed state that passes radical policies to take away our rights. That also means he’s going to try and stop us from flipping a statewide seat blue. We can’t let him do that — and I need your help.
I agree with Ron DeSantis on one thing: DeSantis ended his concession video with “Down here in Florida, we will continue to show the country how to lead.”
Florida will show the country how to lead. This November, we’re going to lead by rejecting extremism at the ballot box. We’re going to lead by rejecting DeSantis’s abortion bans at the ballot box. And we’re going to lead by rejecting Rick Scott at the ballot box. But we can’t do it alone — so please, split $25 between my campaign and Anna Kaplan so we can prove Ron DeSantis wrong once and for all.
I can’t wait for November, and to see the look on DeSantis’s face when we beat his extreme agenda at the polls. This is an uphill battle, but I know we will win.
Thank you for being in this fight,
Debbie
