Blade with the Blue Cancelled
Due to unseasonably warm temperatures causing poor ice conditions at outdoor rinks, the Blade with the Blue event scheduled for this Saturday, Jan. 27, has been cancelled.
We look forward to hosting this event again in 2025!

Zoning Code Update Open House
The City is updating the Mendota Heights Zoning Ordinance to be consistent with the adopted 2040 Comprehensive Plan. Zoning is the City?s primary tool for regulating land use and implementing the goals and policies of the City's Comprehensive Plan.
The Zoning Code imposes land use controls that regulate what can be built on individual parcels of land. Proposed developments, from new buildings to small home additions, are required to meet the requirements of the Zoning Code.?

Join City staff, consultants and members of the Planning Commission for an Open House event, Thursday, Feb. 15, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at City Hall (1101 Victoria Curve). This event will be recorded and posted online, to provide a virtual option for sharing input.

Help Name the Greenway
Dakota County is re-naming the Mendota-Lebanon Hills Greenway and would like public input. The Greenway travels 8.5 miles through Mendota Heights, Inver Grove Heights and Eagan. To share your ideas, complete a two-minute survey by Feb. 11.

Presidential Nomination Primary
The Presidential Nomination Primary is March 5, 2024; absentee voting is available now.
To participate in absentee voting:
- Request a ballot - this can be done?online, by mail or in-person at City Hall; you will be required to select a major political party to request a ballot and participate in the Presidential Nomination Primary.
- Return your ballot:
- In person at City Hall
- By mail
- Using the drop box in front of City Hall
Note: Completed absentee ballots must be received by Tuesday, March 5 at 8 p.m.
To vote in-person on Tuesday, March 5:
- Find your local polling place at pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us
- Vote at your polling place from 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
Note: There is no in-person voting at City Hall on March 5.

Oak Awards Nomination Deadline
Nominations for the City's first-annual Oak Awards are due Wednesday, Jan. 31. The Oak Awards program honors individuals, groups, businesses and organizations for making contributions to the stewardship of natural resources in Mendota Heights over the past year.
