John, in a moment, I'm going to ask for your help to reach undecided voters across Texas and pull ahead in the polls. But first, I've got fantastic news:
A brand-new poll out last week showed me statistically tied with Ted Cruz, and this week, we launched our first TV ad across key regions in Texas.
As we speak, our message is reaching critical new voters who will grow this grassroots team and help us to finally send Ted packing.
Our hard work is paying off, John, and I've never felt better about our chances of winning.
Just a couple months ago, CNN called Ted the most vulnerable GOP Senator in the country, and the election experts at FiveThirtyEight said we're Democrats' best chance to pick up a Senate seat. Now, with the polls showing how much momentum we have behind us, we're on the verge of taking the lead.
But here's the deal: TV airtime isn't cheap, especially in Texas. Neither is covering ground across our massive 254 county state to reach all those undecided voters. If we're going to pull ahead of Cruz, we have to keep reaching as many voters, in as many ways as possible.
Unlike Ted Cruz, I don't have GOP mega donors or special-interest cronies on speed dial. If I want to hit my goals, I've got to do it the old-fashioned way – by asking grassroots supporters like you to pitch in a couple bucks here and there.
My team and I set a goal to raise $100,000 by midnight tonight – and we're just $10,219 short. But with a few hours to go, this is a goal that we can't miss.
So here's that important ask I mentioned at the top of this message: Will you please chip in $5 right now so that my team can reach more undecided voters where they are by buying more airtime, knocking on doors, and hitting the phones? If we don't take advantage of our momentum now, we might never get it back. →

Thank you for helping to grow this grassroots movement every day.
