Homelessness is often stereotyped. We often talk about the epidemic of homelessness that we see in Blue cities all across the country. But homelessness has many faces.
It all started with a street interview. As I was leaving a coffee shop in Des Moines, IA, a young man noticed my Vivek Ramaswamy sticker and asked if he could record a quick interview regarding the then-upcoming caucus. While I was answering his questions, a group of three ladies passed by, and one of them got in front of the camera and asked, “Is this live?”
We went out to eat, I discovered they were all homeless and living in a shelter. Over the next month I got to know 1 of the 3 women well - Chaya. Listen. Share. Subscribe.

The harsh reality, with prices being what they are today, especially housing prices, is that many of us find ourselves just *one paycheck* away from needing help. If you don’t have family or friends around, you can quickly enter the vicious circle of homelessness.
This episode is worth a listen. I honestly learned a lot about homelessness through my conversations with these young ladies. I don’t want my kids to have the same image of homelessness that I initially had.
