Trump has directed the GOP to block any deal for Ukraine aid. He’s doing it to withhold any bipartisan “win” for President Biden. McConnell himself has admitted it. The fact is Trump is helping Putin and many more Ukrainians will die as a result.

The entire Republican party seems like it is the party of the Kremlin.

This goes all the way back to the phone call that changed my life back in 2019, the call that led to Trump’s first impeachment. From the beginning of Trump’s political career, he has used his domination of the Republican party to undermine Ukraine, and help Russia. And Trump will attack any member of the House and Senate that defies him.

This will have a real cost.

Without additional aid from the United States, more brave Ukrainians will die. It means missiles raining down on Ukrainian cities and towns. It means an emboldened Russia threatening our allies — and a new lease on life for Putin. He knows he only needs to hold on long enough for Trump to win in November.

That can’t happen.

We must keep pushing to pass aid for Ukraine. It is critical to our own national security. But we have to punish Trump and the GOP for putting our national security on the brink of disaster.
