John,

Big news: the Biden administration just announced "a temporary pause" on approvals for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) exports.

This is a tremendous step forward, but this campaign isn’t over. If President Biden truly "...sees the climate crisis for what it is: the existential threat of our time." Then he must stop all fracked gas exports.

Will you send a message to President Biden and urge him to follow this step by rejecting all gas export projects?

John,

Even as the climate crisis worsens, the oil and gas industry is desperate to keep drilling to maintain its enormous profits.

Over the last few years, the industry has pushed to export more and more gas overseas. The U.S. is now the world's leading exporter of fracked gas, and the fracking industry is trying to export even more.

The Biden administration is currently considering approving more than 20 new oil and gas export projects – the pollution equivalent of 675 new coal plants. Just one of these projects, known as the Calcasieu Pass (CP2) project, would cause 20 times as much pollution as the Willow Oil Drilling Project in Alaska. These climate-killing projects are simply incompatible with a liveable future.

We must stop any new fracked gas export projects. Will you send a message to Biden and demand that he reject all new gas export projects?

Most of these facilities are being proposed along the Gulf of Mexico in low-income communities and communities of color. This region is already disproportionately burdened with asthma, cancer, and health diseases due to the massive amounts of toxic pollution from the fossil fuel industry.

Send a message to the Biden administration and demand that CP2 and other fracked gas export projects are rejected.

STOP GAS EXPORTS
[link removed]

Food & Water Action is working with a large coalition to oppose gas exports. Just in the last few months, activists like you have sent tens of thousands of messages to the White House, and hundreds of organizations and scientists have spoken out against CP2 and other fracked gas export projects.

We can’t allow our food, water, communities, and planet to be sacrificed for  profit. But the oil and gas industry won’t go down without a fight, so we need to keep the pressure on President Biden to reject gas export projects. Tell President Biden: Stop gas exports now!
