96  A lot has happened this week. Here are some thoughts on the
news and updates about what I’ve been up to.

Anti-Semitism Bill
FINALLY Passes

Huge majorities in the Georgia House and Senate passed
a bill to condemn anti-Semitism and classify it as a hate crime in our
state.

Unfortunately, there were still several “no” votes. They
should be ashamed of themselves.

Georgia stands against
anti-Semitism, and we stand with Israel.

The Mess At The Border

As
a former military officer, I find the massive uptick in military-aged
males illegally crossing our southern border deeply disturbing. It’s an
economic and national security risk.

But the Biden administration
seems more concerned with cutting down the razor wire Texas put up than
doing something about it — and Georgia’s U.S. Senators aren’t saying
anything at all.

more thoughts about this on Twitter. Read them here.

Seriously?
Over
the last few years, Washington Democrats have tried to regulate or ban
things from gas stoves and dishwashers to menthol cigarettes.

This
week, Chuck Schumer made Zyn pouches his next target.

My response:
Seriously? I prefer personal freedom, and I also wish these politicians
would put some effort into stopping the fentanyl that’s poisoning our
communities.

Hearing From Georgians
This week, I met with groups of
Georgians from across our state.

I heard from young people with
Jackson County Youth Leadership, as well as students on Student
Ambassadors Day.

And I shared my focus on putting Georgia consumers
and families first with the Conservative Policy Leadership Institute.
I also shared some words at an event celebrating state Rep. Pedro
Marin’s service to our state, and wishing him well in retirement.
We’re from different parties, but we share a commitment to Georgia’s
Latino community, and every community, in our state.

Thank you for
your continued support!
