Greetings,

ASSISTED SUICIDE BILL RECEIVES PRE-SESSION HOUSE HEARING
I?d like to thank those of you who have contacted me recently to share your opposition to a very controversial proposal being pushed by the House majority.
?
Yesterday, an assisted suicide proposal was given a committee bill hearing by the House majority and was approved on a 10-5 party line vote. I just wanted to take this opportunity to remind all of you that I do not support assisted suicide in any fashion.
?
Even though session does not begin until February 12, that has not stopped the House majority from holding legislative hearings on a number of topics, including assisted suicide. Because this hearing was held pre-session, there was limited opportunity for the public to weigh in with its input during the committee hearing, which was truly unfortunate.
?
I will be sure to keep you updated on the bill?s progress as session moves forward.
?
2024 SESSION BEGINS FEBRUARY 12
Once session does begin February 12, it is anticipated to last through mid-May. If you have thoughts or questions on any legislative topic, I encourage you to contact me. I can be reached at [email protected] or by phone 651-296-7808. Legislative updates will also be sent more frequently in the coming weeks once lawmakers return to St. Paul.
?
Talk to you soon,
?
Tim ?
