Thank you, Democrats. Your swift response to our phone banking email plea was appreciated as several volunteers responded to support efforts to flip HD-35 in the Florida House. Democrats statewide rallied behind Tom Keen's campaign during this crucial special election, and the results speak for themselves – we emerged victorious! This win brings us one step closer to overturning the super minority, and it's essential to maintain this momentum. Let's keep pushing forward!
The Democratic Club of Indian River invites you to join the Blue Ladies on Tuesday, February 6 to learn how easy it is to mobilize your network to change Florida!
Your network of friends is a powerful organizing force. This easy-to-use phone app helps you mobilize your own network to request their vote-by-mail ballots.

The House State Affairs Committee has taken significant step that could have far-reaching consequences.
The committee passed two resolutions requesting an "Article V Convention" – a national convention initiated by the states to propose new amendments to the United States Constitution. This process requires two-thirds of state legislatures (34 states) to call for such a convention.
The issue at hand is that the Constitution does not provide guidelines or rules for this convention. This means that a group of unelected and unaccountable individuals could potentially rewrite our Constitution without any limitations. The lack of constraints raises concerns about the potential impact on our fundamental rights, including the right to peaceful protest, freedom of religion, and the right to privacy. Furthermore, there are no regulations preventing corporate influence on the convention's outcome.
The State Affairs Committee passed two resolutions in support of this convention: House Concurrent Resolution 693 and House Concurrent Resolution 703. Even a Republican community leader testified against them.
Unfortunately, with Republicans in the supermajority, both resolutions not only passed but are also fast-tracked to the House Floor. Let's work together to protect our U.S. Constitution and prevent extremists from bending our most important founding document to their advantage.
Take Action! Contact our State Representative Robbie Brackett and ask him to vote against HCR693 and HCR703.
Call his Tallahassee office number at (850) 717-5034. Share the following message.
"Hello, my name is ______ and I am a constituent calling from zip code _____ . I'm calling to today to urge my representative to vote NO on HCR693 and HCR703."

The President and Vice President ran for office on the promise to move quickly to tackle these crises head-on and deliver results for working families.
