Greetings Patriots!!
On Saturday, February 3rd (one week from THIS coming Saturday), we will hold "The NC-11 People's Public Forum" at A-B Tech's Ferguson Auditorium in Asheville. It will begin at 1pm. This is a FREE public service event.
If Rep. Edwards shows up, this will be the "debate that would never happen" according to Edwards, his campaign manager, the GOP County chairs and other party bigwigs. I was dismissed roundly by all these people because they didn't want to have a second debate within less than a two-and-a-half hour drive from Ashville, the 11th District's center of population and voters. I received nothing but dismissive and antagonistic responses.
That said, Christian invited Chuck Edwards and I spoke to his campaign manager with the same rigid "No" response after the event had been confirmed.
So, it's up to us, We the People, to use the media, word-of-mouth and a righteous indignation to create the sense in Chuck Edwards and his camp, that he has more to lose by not showing up, than by showing up to debate Christian for a second time where more NC-11 voters can attend and decide for themselves. He's the incumbent and needs to explain himself. There's an element of playing keep away, stonewalling and running out the clock at work here that we've rarely seen.
I will be the moderator for this event and ask concise, fair, balanced and unbiased questions, unlike the first debate in Clay County.
This is a "Show/No Show" event. And that means if we cannot get Chuck Edwards to come, then we will turn this into a "Christian Reagan 2024 Rally" where we can all get to know Christian better. There is a lot more there than we all know and I will be surfacing who he is and what he wants to do much better than the first debate.
Please circulate the attached and below flyer through your social media and tell all your friends to please come. It's high time for us to generate a groundswell of support for a candidate of Faith who is a DC outsider.
