Adopt an animal with Born Free

Born Free’s animal adoptions make a truly meaningful gift, for adults and children alike. You can choose between a printed adoption pack with an optional cuddly toy, or you can go green with a digital adoption – your adoption pack including personalised certificate will be sent to you straight away, for you to pass on to your loved one!

Below are some of the animals you can choose between – today we’re highlighting our rescued animals, who have been given a second chance by our dedicated rescue teams around the world, thanks to their expert love and care!

King the Lion

King was a victim of the illegal pet trade, rescued from an apartment in Paris. He is now thriving at Born Free’s Shamwari Big Cat Sanctuary in South Africa – by adopting King, you can help fund his care for life.

Timtom the Orangutan

Timtom was just a baby when she was taken from her mother and illegally kept as a pet. Rescued by the Orangutan Foundation, she will be looked after in Borneo until she is ready to return to the wild.

The Cheetah Family

All of our cheetah were rescued from the illegal wildlife trade in Ethiopia, and can sadly never return to the wild because of their difficult starts in life – but now they get to live happily in our spacious Ensessa Kotteh Sanctuary.

Gopal the Tiger

Gorgeous Gopal was the victim of human-wildlife conflict in India, and had to be captured by authorities to find a safe place for him to live. Now he lives at Bannerghatta Tiger Sanctuary, where adopters help fund his lifetime care.
