Ohio Becomes 23rd State to Protect Minors from the Transgender Industry |
by Ben Johnson |
The bellwether state of Ohio has become the 23rd state to protect children from transgender injections and surgeries, and the 24th to safeguard fairness and privacy in women's sports, as lawmakers voted overwhelmingly to override the Republican governor's veto. Yet Democratic opponents claimed Martin Luther King Jr. and Jesus Christ would have supported transgender surgeries for kids, a transgender activist changed the words of a Christian hymn to support transgender surgeries, and liberals likened withholding cross-sex hormones from children to the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. |

Biden: Second-Place Candidate Is 'Real Governor' of Virginia |
by Joshua Arnold |
"Today, I make this sacred pledge to you. The defense, protection, and preservation of American democracy will remain, as it has been, the central cause of my presidency." So said President Joe Biden during a January 5 speech at Valley Forge. That "sacred pledge" lasted about two-and-a-half weeks. At a January 23 abortion rally in Manassas, Va., Biden began, "Hello, Virginia! And the real governor, Terry McAuliffe." Thus, the self-styled defender of democracy indulged in pointless election-denialism - over an election whose results were never significantly challenged. |

From the Jaws of a Shark to the Jaws of the Left: Bethany Hamilton Fights the Mob |
by Suzanne Bowdey |
Bethany Hamilton survived a shark attack - I sincerely doubt the Left can scare her. But that doesn't mean they won't try. Ever since last year, when the beloved pro surfer took a stand for girls' sports, she's been in the bullseye of the trans mob. Now, months away from a speaking gig at an organization for underserved girls, the woman at the center of one of the most inspiring true life stories of our time, is the target of a national LGBT boycott. Good luck trying to intimidate her. The Bethany we know is probably thinking, "Guys, a shark bit my arm off, and I got back in the ocean. I'm not afraid of you." |

Studies Show Professional Fact-Checking Is Subjective |
by Joshua Arnold |
Ask 10 professional fact-checkers to rate something as true or false, and get one, unanimous answer. That's what we assume will happen based on our understanding of the word "fact" and our understanding of the responsibilities of a person who "checks" them. That assumption is incorrect, according to a recently published study that found a "low level of agreement of professionals over what is misinformation." Fact-checkers sometimes enjoy a reputation as paragons of objectivity - but, based on the conduct of many fact-checkers, the opposite conclusion isn't all that surprising. |

Tammy Nobles on the Border Crisis: 'I Don't Want Any Other Parent to Live the Nightmare I Am Living' |
by Kathy Athearn |
Last Thursday, two mothers spoke on Capitol Hill before the House Homeland Security Committee, sharing their heartbreaking stories about how they lost their daughters due to the actions of illegal immigrants - two criminals that, before 2021 when the Biden administration took over, most likely would have been stopped at the border and not allowed into the United States. |

Proposed Child Tax Credit Expansion Would Be a Pro-Life Victory, Say Experts |
by Dan Hart |
In a rare show of bipartisanship, a bill that would expand the child tax credit (CTC) for low-income families easily passed through the House Ways and Means Committee last Friday by a 40-3 margin, moving it one step closer to a vote on the House floor. Experts say the bill will give a substantial financial boost to parents with multiple kids at a time when the cost of raising a family has risen significantly due to persistent inflation. |

Since the beginning of the war between Israel and Hamas, there's been no shortage of pain and suffering. Thousands have died, many are still held hostage, and deadly conflict threatens to spread throughout the Middle East. Amid all the chaos, death, and destruction, many wonder: why keep fighting? Caroline Glick, a senior contributing editor at the Jewish News Syndicate and host of the "Carolyn Glick Show," has an answer. |
