Republican extremism is on the rise, and at every level of power GOP lawmakers are doubling down on policies that would further chip away at our fundamental rights and freedoms. Despite two impeachments and more than 90 criminal indictments, Donald Trump remains the frontrunner to become the Republican presidential nominee.
Unfortunately, Trumpism extends far beyond Trump—the dangerous anti-democratic, vindictive movement he fueled and the hate and violence he continues to flame are as strong today as when he left office.
The most effective way to stop the spread of right-wing extremism and defend our democracy is to defeat Republican candidates at the ballot box. That means winning back the House majority, defending the Senate majority, reelecting President Biden, and making gains in key states.
