As the lead Democrat on the Subcommittee on Courts, I couldn’t resist speaking up on Donald Trump's latest blunder: his confusion between law and politics.

Now, we’ve all been witness to Trump's dangerous behavior ever since his Big Lie about the 2020 election results. And last week, he proved that he’s still his inappropriate self.

During a hearing for the defamation lawsuit against him, Trump lashed out in front of the entire courtroom and was even threatened to be removed by the judge. Seriously, in a courtroom of all places?!

Look, this behavior in court joins his claims that all the various lawsuits and criminal cases against him are somehow the work of the Democrats and Joe Biden. Regardless, I think Trump is confused about which of his stops are campaign stops and which are serious stops regarding his criminal record.

No matter what, he’s going to continue using every opportunity in front of him to try and rally folks around the idea that this is nothing but a political witch hunt against him.

Mr. Trump, the courtroom is no place for your inappropriate antics, and the rule of law is no place to play your political games. John, this is just another example of Donald Trump’s lack of fitness to hold office.
