BREAKING:
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers vows to VETO Republican-drawn maps!
Rush a donation to NDRC today to help us continue our fight for fair maps! → [[link removed]]

John –

Ever since Judge Janet Protasiewicz’s historic victory to the Wisconsin Supreme Court last year, we knew that advocates for fair maps had an opportunity to make serious progress.

But to no surprise, the radicals in the GOP-controlled Wisconsin state legislature have been trying everything they can to keep their white-knuckle grip on power. That’s why, before the courts could set new boundaries, they just rushed unfair maps through the state legislature – again.

Thankfully, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers plans to veto these unfair maps, but this is a critical turning point in our fight for maps. Can we count on you to make a grassroots donation of $10 to our fight for fair maps today? [[link removed]]

"BREAKING: my promise to the people of Wisconsin is that I’d fight for fair maps, so I’ll be vetoing the maps passed by Republicans today. Moving legislative district lines so GOP-gerrymandered incumbents get to keep their seats is just more gerrymandering. Basic stuff, folks."
-@GovEvers, 4:09 PM, Jan 24, 2024

Governor Evers is right — this is basic stuff. We know what fair maps look like, and redrawing district lines to favor gerrymandered incumbents isn’t fair.

And the truth is that GOP-controlled legislatures, like in Wisconsin, know that our movement for fair maps is growing. That’s why they’re making desperate attempts and using back-room tricks to enact gerrymandered maps.

But those Republicans don’t know just how powerful the grassroots movement for fair maps has become.

Momentum for fair maps is growing – and Governor Evers’ veto of gerrymandered maps proves it. Now, it’s time to capitalize on this momentum. Please rush a donation of $10 today! → [[link removed]]
