Not On My Campus: We Must All Act to Protect Jewish Students
In an effort to protect the safety, wellbeing and civil rights of Jewish students, ADL has launched the

Not On My Campus campaign to demand that U.S. colleges and universities commit to No Tolerance for Antisemitism.

Existing campus systems have failed to protect Jewish students facing discrimination and harassment on their campuses. The Not On My Campus campaign offers a clear call to action for university and college leaders to commit to No Tolerance for antisemitism on their campuses and meet their moral and legal obligations to provide safe, inclusive and equitable learning environments for all students.
“It is unacceptable that Jewish students find themselves in a position where they are being made to feel increasingly unsafe and unwelcome on their own college campuses,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, ADL CEO.

Campus Antisemitism Online: Jewish students and campus organizations such as Hillel report that anti-Jewish and anti-Israel sentiments are often being spread via campus messaging apps like Yik Yak and Sidechat, where hate can easily be masked behind a cloak of anonymity. Jewish students have reported death threats, verbal and physical assaults and levels of intimidation that have spread fear of attending classes or in some instances even venturing outside of their dorm rooms.

What Inspired Jacksonville Shooter?: On August 26, 2023, Ryan Christopher Palmeter shot and killed three Black people at a Dollar General in Jacksonville, Florida before killing himself. The vitriolic, hateful writings he left behind in his “manifesto” show that Palmeter held white supremacist beliefs including racism, antisemitism, extreme anti-LGBTQ+ animus and xenophobia.

South Africa’s Case Against Israel Is a Sham:
“The effort by the government of South Africa at the International Court of Justice to accuse Israel of genocide in its war against Hamas must be combated and rejected forcefully.... Indeed, if ever the term “genocidal” were relevant, it belongs to Hamas and its founding charter, which states very clearly the group’s genocidal intent vis-a-vis Israel and Jews. Added to this context is South Africa’s bias against Israel long before this war. That government has labeled Israel an apartheid state, and used other extreme terms that makes clear their initiative on this issue lacks any credibility and reflects an inherent hostility to the Jewish state.”
