Last night was a huge night for our campaign. We finally had the opportunity to debate our opponent, Bill Foster. However, for some reason, he left early. True to our values, we stayed through to the end to make sure voters heard our call for economic, social, and climate justice for all Americans.
Once upon a time, this was a red district. Now it’s a deep blue district that deserves a candidate that will uphold Democratic Party values, not run from accountability.
My belief that opportunity, justice, and equity should be protected for all Americans is the core of who I am. It’s why I’m fighting for guaranteed universal healthcare. It’s why I’m taking the climate crisis seriously. And, it’s why I’m calling for a ceasefire.
My opponent, Bill Foster, doesn’t stand by any of these values, and it’s a disservice to voters that he did not stay to defend his record.
You know that our campaign is 100% people-funded, and that – unlike my opponent – I won’t take contributions from corporations or special interests.
