Doctors, activists, and every Texan with common sense warned that this would happen if Texas Republicans went through with their extreme abortion ban that makes no exception for rape or incest. 

There is no joy in this “I told you so.” 

Out of the 14 states with total abortion bans, Texas has the highest estimate of rape pregnancies. When the law was passed, Greg Abbott claimed that he would be taking steps to “eliminate all rape.” Shockingly, his magical thinking did not create any real world solutions.

Texans are suffering under this ban. It’s not ok, and it can't continue. When elected to Congress, I’ll fight with everything I’ve got to ensure that reproductive rights are restored. If you’re with me, will you make a donation to my campaign right away?
