John,
This week marked 51 years since
Roe v. Wade made safe, legal abortion the law of the land in our country. But instead of celebrating this ruling, we're dealing with the destructive fallout from the Supreme Court's recent decision to overturn it.
Last month, despite federal guidance, a right-wing court in Texas ruled the state can ban emergency abortions. And just yesterday, a North Dakota judge just ruled that a doctor can be
prosecuted for performing an abortion to save the life of their patient.
And all the while, House Republicans are continuing their war on reproductive rights – passing two anti-abortion bills ahead of a major anti-abortion rally.
Let me be clear: Republicans will not stop until they have a national abortion ban, with no exceptions to save the life of the mother or in cases of rape or incest.
We must codify Roe v. Wade into law to ensure access to legal, safe, and accessible reproductive care across the country. Can I count on you to join me in protecting reproductive rights by signing my petition now?
Protecting the right to reproductive health care is one of my top priorities. And, with a little over a week until primary voting begins, it has never been more important to ensure my team knows how important this issue is to our supporters.
So please, join me in advocating for women’s bodily autonomy and protecting access to reproductive care. Sign on today.
In unity,
Joanna
