Dear Mr. xxxxxx,
As a dad of four adult children, I know that the college application process is stressful. To make matters worse, the Biden administration’s failed implementation of what is supposed to be a new and improved Free Application for Federal Student Aid, otherwise known as FAFSA, is delaying Montana students and families’ access to crucial financial aid for college.
The new FAFSA was supposed to make financial aid more accessible for all students by streamlining the application process. Despite the requirement that the FAFSA program be rolled out by January 1 and having three years to prepare, the rollout was delayed and could not have gone worse.
This has put students, counselors and colleges in a bind because they do not have enough information to choose a college.
In short, the Biden administration failed our students and their families.
That is why I requested an investigation into the Biden administration this week and what led to this failure. I will not stop fighting for you.
