POP QUIZ: Do you know how many plastic bottles are sold every minute around the globe?
|
Plastic pollution is a serious environmental issue. It ALSO impacts a myriad of other issues like public health, food systems, livelihoods, and water.
So it’s no surprise that massive corporations like Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, and McDonald’s -- some of the world’s biggest producers of plastics pollution -- seemingly attempt to greenwash and obfuscate their role in this crisis. They even try to claim to be part of the solution.
But you and I know that exposing this kind of corporate behavior is one of the best ways to compell corporations to change.
So in that spirit, do you know how many plastic bottles are sold every MINUTE across the globe?
A) 100,000 - 200,000
B) 500,000 - 750,000
C) Nearly 1,000,000
D) Nearly 2,500,000
Take a guess, and then find out if you’re right.
