John, PFAS (aka “forever chemicals”) are everywhere — including our food, water, and bodies — creating a public health crisis on an unimaginable scale. Food & Water Watch is mobilizing to push regulators to protect communities from PFAS – will you join us? Make a gift to Food & Water Watch today to fight the widespread contamination of these dangerous chemicals.

So, where do PFAS come from?

They’re in the water we drink, the food we eat, and the things we buy. PFAS chemicals are manufactured by big companies like 3M and DuPont and are used in everything from non-stick pans to food packaging, household cleaning materials to cosmetics and personal care products, hand sanitizer, dry cleaning, electronics, firefighting foam, pesticides and fertilizers, photography, plastics, recycling machinery, refrigerants, textiles, and vehicles…. the list goes on.

PFAS contamination is rampant and widespread. PFAS can be found in the blood of 97% of people in the United States, and they’re causing all sorts of health problems, including liver malfunction, birth defects, thyroid disease, weakened immunity, and cancer.

It may seem daunting to address such a widespread issue, but we never back down from the fight. We’re ramping up our campaign to protect our bodies and our environment from these dangerous chemicals, but we need you with us to hold the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Congress, and corporations accountable.

Will you make an urgent donation to stop the use of toxic PFAS chemicals and protect our communities from contamination?

For years, Food & Water Watch has been calling on the EPA to use a broad, widely accepted definition of PFAS in order to protect public health. Now, we are ramping up our work to make sure your voices are heard loud and clean so regulators are not let off the hook.

With your support, we can advance our campaigns to advocate for:

PFAS to be regulated as a class of chemicals, not on an individual level.
Enforceable national drinking water limits for all PFAS chemicals.
Passage of the WATER Act and the PFAS Action Act – critical bills in Congress that would ensure clean water for all.

Ready to join us as we advocate for our health and environment? Make a gift today to fight PFAS pollution.

FIGHT PFAS!

Our communities will keep eating, drinking, and breathing toxic chemicals until the federal government sets strong regulations on PFAS and holds polluters accountable for cleanup. So that’s just what we’re pushing them to do.

John, will you make a tax-deductible gift now and join our fight against PFAS?

Together, we will end these dangerous “forever chemicals” and pressure the EPA and Congress to do its job: protecting our communities!

Onward together,

Mary Grant
Public Water For All Campaign Director

P.S. Looking for other ways to take action? Here are three things you can do to fight toxic PFAS forever chemicals.
