Last advocacy day we took over the Capitol. Let's do it again.
Friend,
Nearly a year ago we Marched for Our Lives in Harrisburg. Survivors and doctors testified. Pennsylvanians grabbed legislators in the hallway. You couldn’t miss the sea of orange.
And then the most significant gun safety policies in years if not decades, passed with bipartisan support, largely because of that single day and CeaseFirePA volunteers and partners who pushed for action in the weeks that followed.
But, they haven’t hit Governor Shapiro’s desk yet. And life-saving policies to rein in ghost guns, keep kids safe, and stop straw purchases, languish on the Senate floor.
Since the 2023 Advocacy Day, our movement has grown:
Volunteers like Rocco shared how Extreme Risk Protection Orders would save veterans from suicide. Jeani Garcia shared her story with thousands through Deadly by Design. Betsy began organizing her senior citizen community to fight for grandchildren.
A new faith coalition, With One Voice, raised their moral demands for an end to gun violence. Doctors wrote about the children they watched die in the ER.
We’ve counted every day and every life lost to this crisis waiting for the Pennsylvania Senate to hold a single hearing, remembering them at vigils across the state.
You’ll meet with legislative offices and attend a mid-day rally on the front steps of the Capitol with elected leaders, survivors, youth, faith leaders, medical professionals, and other advocates to demand change and a safer Pennsylvania.
Once you sign up, we'll let you know about transportation options, including buses, online training to prepare for your meetings, and an exciting list of speakers for the rally.
