Winter is here, and temperatures are plummeting.

With the cold comes higher energy bills. Pennsylvanians across the commonwealth are struggling to pay their rising heating costs.

As a candidate, Gov. Josh Shapiro promised to take action to lower energy costs for hardworking Pennsylvanians like you. But before the holiday season, the Shapiro administration announced plans to appeal the Commonwealth Court ruling that blocked Pennsylvania from joining the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI).

The court ruled that the RGGI program is an illegal energy tax. Polling shows most Pennsylvanians want to keep our commonwealth OUT of RGGI. Yet, the Shapiro administration is determined to revive this tax, which could raise energy costs by as much as 30 percent.
