MAKE AN EMERGENCY GIFT [[link removed]]
This is an unprecedented crisis. And amidst these horrific conditions, 180 women are still giving birth each day. Staff are operating far beyond their capacity with limited space and supplies — women recovering from C-section births are discharged within a day to make room for new deliveries.
690,000 women and girls in Gaza require menstrual hygiene supplies, but have extremely limited access to those essential products and to water and toilets. Aid workers have even reported that they’re forced to use scraps of tents in place of period products.
The situation in Gaza is dire, especially for pregnant women and menstruating women and girls. But your gifts make a difference:
Thanks to your gifts, UNFPA has been able to deliver enough supplies to support over half of the approximately 18,000 births that have taken place in the last 100 days. UNFPA reproductive health kits and medical equipment are being put to use the moment they arrive to ensure clean, safe births.
UNFPA has also distributed thousands of dignity and hygiene kits, so women and girls can manage their periods with dignity. Last week alone, we delivered enough menstrual hygiene kits to meet the needs of over 5,280 women for four months.
The aid that’s been delivered is only a drop in the ocean of what’s needed — so we’re asking you today:
Will you rush an emergency gift to deliver lifesaving care, kits, and resources to women and girls who need it most? [[link removed]]

UNFPA deeply regrets the end of the humanitarian pause in Gaza. We condemn the violence in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank, including all sexual violence against women, and echo the UN Secretary-General’s call for a sustained humanitarian ceasefire and for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages by Hamas.
Thank you for being there for women and girls.
