A large Russian military transport plane crashed on Wednesday near the border with Ukraine killing everyone onboard including 65 Ukrainian prisoners of war, as the NYT reports. |
Urban Battle in Khan Younis
The Israeli military said it was pushing into the west of Khan Younis and was engaged in fierce fighting with some of Hamas’s strongest fighters. And, as the WSJ reports, Israeli officials say they believe that inside the city are Hamas’s leadership and Israeli hostages. |
Houthis Attack U.S. Ships
Two American-flagged ships carrying cargo for the U.S. Defense and State departments came under attack by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on Wednesday, with the U.S. Navy intercepting some of the incoming fire, as the AP reports. |
