Hi John, Angela Alsobrooks here! 

I’m a born-and-raised Marylander, former State’s Attorney, current County Executive of Prince George’s County, and now I’m running for Maryland’s open Senate seat. 

I’m up against a multi-millionaire opponent who is bankrolling his own campaign. He’s already spent $11 million on ads, and we know there is more where that came from. That’s why I need your help ASAP. 

So, before I tell you more about my campaign, will you chip in a split donation of $5 between my campaign and End Citizens United? Our January End-of-Month deadline is quickly approaching, so we need all hands on deck to hit our fundraising goal!

John, I believe that our leaders should share the values and experiences of the people they represent. 

I don’t live like or think like most Senators. I know what life is like for the average Marylander, because I’ve lived it. I see the challenges we face, and I know we can overcome them together. 

That outlook is a family heirloom handed down to me by my great-grandmother. She was unflinching in the face of so much cruelty and injustice, and she had one rule for her family: No complaining.

She’d tell all her grandkids and great-grandkids, “If you don't like it, you go farther and you do better.”

That’s why I dedicated my life to public service and have worked to expand access to healthcare, develop economic opportunities, protect the most vulnerable people in our communities, build prosperity for working families, and strengthen education to level the playing field.

I’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished so far, and there’s plenty of work to do in the Senate. With a little determination and a good attitude, we’ll keep going farther and doing better for all Marylanders.
