Last night we saw two versions of America: One version dripping with grievances, draped in red and emblazoned with the glaring white emblems of Make America Great Again, and the other version powered by the grassroots, diversity, and an enthusiastic commitment to American freedom.
Both versions won last night — Donald Trump scratched out a closer than expected win in the Republican primary and President Joe Biden won the New Hampshire primary in a landslide without even putting his name on the ballot.
We have seen these stakes before — two ideas of what America should be — but the 2024 presidential election will be even more important.
"I am your retribution." and "I am your vengeance." That is how Donald Trump pitches himself to Republicans. He is not shy about his intent to pummel government institutions, stomp every guardrail aiming to limit his power, and break any and all opposition to his will.
That is Trump's vision for his second term, and it is not the America any of us want. Will you chip in today and help us grow our grassroots movement to stop Trump's vision of vengeance? [[link removed]]
Rural communities suffered under the Trump administration. His policies caused trade wars, brought the government to a halt, and saw jobs leave our communities.
Biden has been different. He's taken steps to revitalize the heartland and to bring jobs and prosperity to the rural communities that are so often left behind. From the Inflation Reduction Act, to the Affordable Connectivity Program, to his fight for abortion rights, Biden and Democrats across the country have shown their commitment to supporting everyday Americans like you and me.
That is the difference between these two visions for America: Trump's version, broiling in the anger of a single unrepentant man who is focused on the past; and the version Democrats offer, a movement that is forward looking, filled with hope, and driven to support us and our communities.
The choice is clear for all of us. We need to work together, grow this movement and fight for our shared vision for America. Can I count on you to chip in $3 today and grow this grassroots movement into something that can win this fight for all of us? [[link removed]]
We can do this together,
