Let’s not forget how bad Donald Trump’s first Presidency was.
By noon on Inauguration Day in 2017, the Trump Administration scrubbed mentions of climate change on the White House website. By May, they had taken down the EPA’s page laying out climate science for the public, as well as 108 pages associated with the Obama administration’s Clean Power Plan. Their goal was to bury the issue of climate change.
Trump pulled the U.S. out of the Paris climate agreement, staffed the EPA with fossil-fool lobbyists, and claimed - against scientific evidence - that the Earth will “start getting cooler.” (That clearly wasn't true.)
If Trump wins and we don’t have enough SEEC members to stand up to him in Congress, we’ll be stalled from making any climate progress for the next 4 years.
