John, Last night, Donald Trump won the New Hampshire Republican primary. If it wasn’t clear before, it is now: Trump has essentially locked up the Republican nomination for President. The Republican Party has made its priorities clear. They are throwing their weight behind a man who incited an insurrection and has zero backbone or moral clarity. So much is at stake in 2024, and a Trump victory would be a complete disaster for our nation. The future of our democracy is on the line. John, for those of us who care about reproductive rights, ending gun violence, and protecting elections, it’s time to spring into action. Not only must we organize and get out the vote for President Biden’s re-election campaign, but we must also do everything we can to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. Just look at how quickly the Republican primary field has jumped to endorse him after they lost (despite Trump’s insulting and humiliating attacks toward them). Electing Democrats at the federal, state, and local levels is crucial. Now is the time to organize our neighbors, open up our wallets, and do all we can to put Democrats in a position for success this November. Too much is on the line for us to be complacent.
