Friend,
I’m sure by now you’ve seen the results of the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary. The primary results have once again shown us how far Republicans will go to attack our free and fair elections. It’s a discouraging reminder of how much work we have yet to accomplish and how far we still have to go in creating a free and fair democracy for all.
Politicians across the country continue to launch attacks on our electoral system. It’s moments like these that remind us why we need to pass comprehensive voting reform, specifically the Freedom to Vote Act. Our elections need to be free, fair, and immune from the attacks thrown at them by politicians.
The people of this country have a right to vote freely without dealing with election interference, gerrymandering, and other forms of voter suppression. The Freedom to Vote Act is crucial to ensure equal ballot box access under the law, and will return power to the hands of the people, instead of leaving it in the clutches of Big Money and massive corporations.
