John, we've got more news from the legislative session:
Far-right extremists in both chambers of our legislature have passed their Flat-Tax policy – a policy which leaves average Kansans with the bill.
We can’t afford to go back to the days of Sam Brownback and another Kansas tax experiment. But Kansas Republicans technically have the Supermajorities they would need to override a Governor’s veto!
The out-of-touch extremist politicians in the state legislature aren't paying attention to what hardworking Kansans need. They're arguing to give as much money to millionaires as they can.
On the other hand, Democrats want responsible tax cuts that actually benefit the middle class, so we can focus on things like improving early childhood services and acting on the water crisis.
The Republican tax plan would cripple and compromise vital programs that regular folks need, just like during the Brownback days.
For generations, we’ve been guided by the simple belief that Kansans deserve better.
Today, we’re ready to write the next chapter – together.
Kansas Democrats believe what brings us together is far stronger than what
divides us. We strive to protect the freedom of the individual, while working
together to actively contribute to the vibrancy and vitality of our communities.
We believe that government has a responsibility to promote policies that provide
economic and social justice, access to healthcare, a clean environment, and safe
workplaces. Government has a responsibility to improve the human condition.
Kansas Democrats are committed to putting the people of Kansas first by
promoting the values and policies that advance the common good for all Kansans
