A day after the controversial ruling, Shelby Park buzzes with activity, not of federal agents but of the resolute Texas National Guard and Department of Public Safety personnel. The entryway is guarded by Guardsmen in massive Humvees, a symbol of the state's defiance against federal interference. Within the park, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) takes charge, patrol cars navigating the surroundings. The atmosphere exudes control, a stark contrast to the uncertainty following the Supreme Court's decision.
