Don Young is mocking the coronavirus and putting Alaskans at risk. More than ever, it’s clear that we need to send him into retirement in November. Are you able to pitch in before the FEC deadline to help make that happen? [[link removed]]

Friend,

Where was Alaska’s only representative while the House of Representatives debated and voted on a coronavirus relief package that would help combat the pandemic and support families and businesses impacted by it?

Don Young was flying across the country to attend a fundraiser, then told a crowd of Alaskan seniors that the coronavirus wasn’t serious, encouraging them to go about their everyday activities.

Of course, media outlets here at home and around the country covered the embarrassing episode:

*Rep. Don Young tells Alaska seniors ‘beer virus’ fears are overblown, skips vote on COVID-19 relief *
-Anchorage Daily News

*Congressman Young downplays virus concerns to seniors*
-KINY

*Rep. Don Young of Alaska isn’t the only politician to downplay the threat of coronavirus...He may be the only one to do so at a gathering of senior citizens, though.*
-Pro Publica

*Republican Rep. Don Young dismisses coronavirus as "the beer virus" as he downplays pandemic*
-Salon

*Don Young dismissed 'beer virus,' told seniors to 'go forth with everyday activities'*
-The Hill

If you believe Alaskans deserve better, we hope you’ll consider pitching in to Alyse’s campaign for change. We have the most important deadline of the campaign coming up in just 10 days and whatever you can spare will help us hit our goal. [[link removed]]
