As concerns around Coronavirus continue to grow, know that I
am dedicated to putting the health and safety of Florida families
first and ensuring that we are taking the necessary precautions
to protect ourselves and our communities.
* Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly for at least 20
seconds.
* Avoid touching your face or shaking hands.
* If you feel sick, and especially if you have symptoms like
fever, a cough, or shortness of breath, it's important that you
stay home.
* Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or
sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.
* Avoid gathering in groups of more than 10 people and avoid
discretionary shopping trips or social visits.

I am doing everything I can to make sure that the federal
government's response to the crisis is fully sufficient and that
Florida families get the help they need to stay healthy.

Congress has enacted two emergency relief measures that
provide paid sick, medical, and family leave to workers and
families suffering from the impact and economic fallout of the
coronavirus. The laws also fund the development of a vaccine and
assist with the manufacturing and distribution of medical
supplies.

This is a time for all of us to unite and I stand ready to
tackle all obstacles that prevent us from helping as many people
as we possibly can.

Finally, I ask you to be kind and generous with each other. A
little kindness and compassion can go a long way in a time of
need.

We are all in this together.

Debbie
