Did you hear the news, John? New American Leaders is bringing the New American Hero Awards back to Washington, DC on June 27th! 

But before we get to celebrating, I need your help. 

From school boards and city councils all the way to Congress, immigrants are shaking up politics as usual and changing the face of leadership. People like Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, New York Assemblymember Catalina Cruz, and former Philadelphia City Councilwoman Helen Gym are just a few of the incredible New Americans whose work inspire me to keep organizing and growing our movement to create a democracy that works for and represents all of us.

But I want to hear who inspires you! 

Whether they are an incredible immigrant city council member or a fierce advocate in the state legislature, I want you to tell me about them! By nominating them for a New American Hero Award, you will recognize them for their outstanding leadership and let the entire New American Leaders fam know about their inspiring stories and accomplishments. The only downside? The nomination deadline is almost here!

Nominate your New American hero before 11:59pm this Friday, January 26th for their chance to be honored at this year's celebration!
