John,
We were outraged when Amazon tried to profit from the COVID-19 crisis by inflating prices on life-saving hygiene products – but it turns out they weren’t the only ones trying to get rich while people are losing their jobs.
Together we successfully held Amazon accountable, and now we need to do the same for Senators Richard Burr (R-NC) and Kelly Loeffler (R-GA).
In January, Senators Burr and Loeffler attended a briefing about the serious threat coronavirus poses to our nation’s health and economy. Then, as Trump was still downplaying the risks to the public, they sold off millions of dollars in stock before a catastrophic market crash. They used inside information to protect their own personal wealth.
It’s one thing to see this kind of behavior from greedy corporations, but it’s another to witness it from elected officials in the Senate who should be thinking about the health and safety of the communities they serve, not using classified information for personal profit.
It’s corruption, plain and simple, and their actions make them unfit to serve in the Senate.
We’re joining together with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to call for their immediate resignation. Will you sign our petition to build pressure and demand that the Attorney General open insider trading investigations?

Millions of Americans are struggling because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mothers are struggling to find childcare in the midst of school closings. Small businesses are shuttering. Working-class families are facing more financial challenges than ever. Millions of Americans still don’t have affordable access to health care, and millions more are losing theirs along with their jobs.
It’s appalling to think that there are senators trying to profit at a moment of crisis like this.
We must hold Sens. Burr and Loeffler accountable for their illegal actions. Every signature helps us build the pressure and lets them know that Americans are disgusted and want them out.
Help us send a strong message to these two senators that they must resign immediately – and signal to the Attorney General that we demand an investigation. Sign the petition today.
