Tonight's the night!

Join us at 7pm at Cystal Lake in Williamsburg for our annual fundraiser ([link removed]) , where we'll honor those who have fought to defend democracy in Brooklyn and beyond.

This election year will bring many crucial battles. BYD is ready to meet the moment, but we need your help. Join us to celebrate our past victories and gear up for new fights to defend democracy.

We'll also be celebrating:
* State Senator Zellnor Myrie, Senate Election Committee Chair, and Assembly Member Latrice Walker, Assembly Election Committee Chair, for their work to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, campaign finance refom, and other pro-democracy legislation.
* Council Member Shahana Hanif, for fighting to enfranchise and empower immigrant New Yorkers; Council Member Lincoln Restler, for ensuring integrity in our elected officials public campaign financing; and Council Member Alexa Avilés, for working to ensure true language accessibility at polling sites.
* The Bay Ridge Democrats, for their tireless work to elect Democrats in southern Brooklyn.
* The New York Democratic Lawyers Council, for their crucial work as poll watchers and efforts to ensure all eligible New Yorkers can vote.
