By winning the New Hampshire primary last night, Donald Trump took another step toward locking up the Republican nomination for President in 2024.

This is the same Donald Trump we have always known him to be — a twice-impeached bigot and insurrectionist who will always put the interests of himself and his wealthy friends before our Veterans, working families and the American people. And he has promised to be even worse in a second term than he was during his first.

The reality is that four more years under a Trump presidency is one of the greatest threats facing our democracy, and we'll need to come together and work even harder to defeat him once again.

But the work doesn't stop there — we must make sure that Democrats hold onto the Senate and take back the House from his right-wing allies, too.

That's why I'm committed to doing everything I can to help my colleagues in tough races across the country this year, and it's why I'm asking you today:

Trump doesn't deserve to be president for four more minutes, let alone four more years.

But this team has shown time and time again that we have what it takes to come together and defeat the forces that seek to divide us. I know we will do it again.
