51 years ago, the Supreme Court affirmed the legal right to an abortion in the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. It was a monumental step forward for reproductive rights nationwide.
However, two years ago, a new Supreme Court, dominated by Trump appointees, overturned this historic decision. They ignored decades of precedent to advance a political agenda rooted in extremism.
Reasserting the right to choose is one reason why it’s so important that Democrats take back the House in November. Republicans have made it clear that they’re more interested in policing medical decisions than they are in protecting individual rights. Once again, they’re putting politics above the American people.
It's time we remind Republicans just how unpopular their extremist agenda is.
