Just days ago, Uvalde’s grieving families had to relive the worst day of their lives with the Department of Justice’s release of the Critical Incident Review on the Robb Elementary School shooting.

I’m furious and saddened by how a preventable shooting has victimized these families and now public officials who hide the truth and lie about Uvalde to cover up their failures.

Since then, I’ve continued pushing for common-sense gun laws that could prevent mass shootings like Uvalde. The Bipartisan Safer Communities Act was a good first step, but we need to do more to save lives.

We need to protect America’s children. Add your name if you agree this is unacceptable and that we need common-sense gun laws in 2024.

As a father of 3 kids, including 2 in elementary school, my heart is with these families as they lived every parent’s worst nightmare. We must make our communities safer and save lives.

Uvalde families deserve nothing less than the truth, and I hope the review will bring accountability and reflection to the community and public officials.
